Gay black porn star Kamrun Tries to Fool the Ladies on Lifetime TV’s Gay, Straight, or Taken
February 3rd, 2007Gay porn journalists (and fans) have long been obsessed with the idea of “gay-for-pay” stars. While the idea of a “straight” guy doing gay porn is hot, I suspect that most studios who promote their stars as hetero or bi, are just giving us lots of marketing bullshit.
Whatever the truth is, it’s always fun to play the speculation game of is-he-or-isn’t-he.
Apparently, it’s so much fun that straight women have gotten into the act with the debut of the Lifetime Channel’s Gay, Straight, or Taken It’s a reality-dating gameshow, that lets viewers play along with women who are set up on blind dates and have to figure out if their dates prefer the “pole or the hole.”
One of the guys, it turns out, is not only gay … he’s a gay porn star who goes by the name of Kamrun! According to the J.C. Adams Report, no one had a clue about his XXX career. Kamrun claims …
“It was me!” he laughed when I asked about the show. He says the producers “had no clue about my adult career. It never came up.” A friend of Kamrun’s forwarded the audition information and, lo! he was chosen. He is highly amused (and impressed) that he was spotted so quickly. Apart from his burgeoning porn career (recent titles include Color Blind last spring for Unzipped Video, an as-yet-untitled flick for Studio 2000 and All Worlds Video’s Black Balled 5, for which he is a recent GAYVN nominee in the Best Group Scene category) Kamrun’s kept busy: He shot a pilot that the gay network Logo is considering, and took second runner-up in the Mr. Gay L.A. contest”
I hope the poor girl on that TV show didn’t get her hopes up too high for a taste of Kam’s chocolate stick. If only she had read my review of Black Balled 5 back in December, she could have found out how much he prefers white, muscular manpussy.
