Three weeks of work in South America turned into THREE MONTHS!!!

It’s good to be back in NYC and there is sooo much porn, and porn news, to share. In Brazil, I met a few porn stars. Just like New York City, you can spot them in any gay ghetto.

One guy (a popular Brazilian porn star from about five years ago, Igor Sales) even chatted with me for a bit. My guess is that he was trying to score a client. I enjoyed Igor’s performances … but not his name. Two of his DVDs that I own and really like are Fishing Pole and Brazilian Butt Camp.

Sex with Igor probably would have only cost me $100 BRL (about $53 US dollars) but I haven’t gone that route yet. (Maybe a few decades from now.) Also, now that I see that Igor has come out of retirement this year to star in Bareback Sports, I’m really happy I passed on his offer.

I’ve been off in South America for a few weeks. After the GAYVN Awards I received an outrageously low roundtrip ticket to Latin America (only $400!!!) Anyway, I’m back to life in NYC and gay porn blogging.

This year my travel plans to California coincide with the GayVN Awards!

I’m in San Francisco now (enjoying the local Mexican taquerias and Salvadorian papuserias) and waiting for the GayVN Award show. It will be held tonight at the historic Castro Theatre. Here’s the list of this year’s nominees, but there’s no confirmed list yet of the porn stars who will actually be attending.

Last night, there were some pretty wild pre-show parties in the Castro. It was a fun change of pace for this die-hard New Yorker.

Tonight (Friday, March 20th) I’ll be “twittering” from the Hookie Awards (view my earlier post with details about the show.) It’s in NYC at Splash Bar. There are “red carpet” arrivals scheduled at 8pm, and the awards are supposed to run from 9:00 to 10:30pm. It should be fun! My mini-updates will appear in the Twitter panel below (you may need to reload the page to see new posts.)

UPDATE 11:40PM: Good show! Although, there was waayyy too much clothing. Hookers should be half-naked so that we can see the “merchandise.” Diesel Washington got into the spirit and took his shirt off. Every television network should be fighting for the rights to turn this story into a made-for-TV movie.
