This video is an excellent find that I highly recommend! Apparently, it was shot in 2003(?) but not released until 2004. Lucas Productions picked it up for distribution in 2005 when it was nominated for GayVN award for Best Ethnic. Did I mention this is an excellent video?

The DVD is presented in segments: First, they interview the boy about his sexual past, orientation, how he got into the mansex industry, etc. Then, we get to see him in action. Pretty simple.

First up is Ariel who describes himself as heterosexual, but has bottomed for clients. Some interesting topics that come up are his ongoing affair with a famous painter, and his fantasy to have a three-way with a girl and a transvestite. Gay men are known for their creativity, but when it comes to dreaming up pseudonyms for porn stars, some of us are getting lazy. While the white studios seem hung up on “Cruises” and “Idols,” black and latino pornographers are breeding a nest of “Scorpions”

Last month, I shared the belated news of Brazilian porn star Fabio Scorpion’s death from complications of calf-implant surgery. However, lots of new models named “Scorpion” are still alive and kicking … and stroking … and fucking.

The title says it all for this one. Director Doug Jeffries got a bunch of men (some flown in from the US and some native Spaniards) and took them to the seaside Spanish playground of Mallorca. There’s zero plot and a Flamenco guitar soundtrack that sounds like it was ripped off from The Food Network. But, don’t let that discourage you, it’s got a hot line-up of men! The highlights are …

Carlos David – This native of Spain is one of my favorites among the current crop of hispanic stars. He’s usually one of the few drops of latin flavor in productions for the big, mostly white, studios (ie. Titan Men, Hot House, Studio 2000.) My all-time favorite Carlos scene is his flip-flop fuck in RX. It’s worth checking out. He’s a versatile standout in Mallorca too.

Rafael Carreras – Here’s another native Spaniard who has become quite a star. He’s got a big sword and always has a borderline psychotic look on his face while he’s fucking. He’s versatile top, but doesn’t flip in this movie. (Check out some of his best work in Driven and Gored.)

Lucas Foz – This tall drink-of-water is really sexy. First of all, he’s megahung. In fact, he’s so big that Carlos David crosses himself like a good Catholic boy before sitting on top of his monster cock (one of the many great moments to checkout in the DVD bonus section reviewed below.) Also, he’s really funny. It’s his sense of humor (almost unexpectedly dorky) that makes you want to spend a weekend in bed with him.

Simon Angel (aka Dario Lopez) – If you are into devilishly sexy light-skinned latin boys who look like high school freshmen and have king-sized dicks, Dario is the one for you! He’s versatile, but in Mallorca he’s a total bottom, His scene is great, but I would have love to have seen him pound Rafael Carreras’ ass with his big white boycock. Dario is well worth checking out in his debut scene from Michael Lucas’ Auditions #4 and Knob Squad.

John Andres – This is a hot muscular blatino pussy bottom boy with the type of nipples that would fit nicely on the end of some really fat pencils. His acting is so-so, but he really knows how to work his bubble-butt.

There are two other guys who are pretty buff and have some natural body hair. They have a decent scene and round out the video’s mix of physical types.

My one critcism of Men In Mallorca is its lack of script. Not only would having some sort of idea of why these guys are fucking on the beach make their encounters hotter, a script would have provided some great DIALOGUE!!! These guys have some of the sexy accents in porn, yet they never utter a syllable throughout the entire movie.

Thank god for the behind-the-scenes DVD bonus footage. It’s quite long (about 45 mins?) and follows each model on his photo shoot and subsequent fuck scene. For me, this turned a video that I would have otherwise given 3 out of 5 stars into a full 4-star treat! It’s great to see a bunch of fun (and funny) hot guys having a great time in paradise. My old warning against watching behind-the-scenes still holds true. If you don’t want your “masculine straight guy” fantasies shattered, don’t watch this. Some of these boys are “queerer than a three-dollar bill.” But, hey, what’s wrong with a little faggotry? If you can’t act gay on the set of an gay porn shoot on the beaches of Mallorca … where can you!?!

The surfside photo shoots are fun. The creepy middle-aged crew are good for a few laughs. But, the focus is mostly on the boys. Watch as they smile, and flirt, and struggle with the English language.
